Our rooms

This old school building has been carefully renovated and converted in to a hostel / conference centre with light and modern rooms and facilities distributed on two floors. The bedrooms are bright and airy with large windows on both floors. We offer a total of 36 beds devided in our eight bedrooms, all with bunk beds facilitation 2-8 people in each room.

Guest areas

The schoolhouse boasts a fully equipped kitchen and dining room, classroom / conference room, a communal living area with TV, sofa suite and a old style billiar room with a pool table. We also have a sauna and a small gymnasium for playing indoor sports such as table tennis or floorball or drama performances.

Conference

With us, you can hold conferences in a calm and peacefull setting.

Motorhome parking spaces

We provide eight motorhome parking spaces with electricity and access to water, WC and shower in the school building. We do not provide the possibility to empty waste water and chemical toilet discharge.

In our garden

In our large garden we have cosy places with furniture, large grass areas for playing, garden furniture and barbecue areas. We also have a small football field with goals. Our guests have free WiFi-access.

Things to do

Everyone is welcome here; individuals, families, business, groups, schools, etc. A small food shop is within walking distance as is Kalv's family camping where you can hire canoes and boats, enjoy a fika and buy a fishing permit.

Groups and events

The schoolhouse is well suited to group activities in the preserved classroom and the gymnasium. The whole house is also available for hire for larger parties and events.

Location ans surroundings

Kalv's schoolhouse is located in undisturbed nature, yet it is close to several major sights, which makes the location excellent as a starting point for day trips.
